T.E.A.M.
The T.E.A.M. mentoring program (Teach, Empower, Affirm, Mentor) is a cross-age mentoring program for middle school students with varying degrees of risk for delinquent behavior. The curriculum's philosophy is to target four risk factors: truancy, lack of school engagement, association with deviant peers, and victimization. TEAM focuses on the development of participants' strengths and motivations. Successful completion of TEAM will result in the development of skills and strategies for combating each of these four risk factors.
